Op de San Diego Comic-Con (DSCC) liet Factory Entertainment nieuwe items zien, waaronder een aantal replica’s uit de James Bond-films.
Naast de laatste items die vorig jaar verschenen, de hoed van Oddjob en een replica van de Solex Agitator, konden we drie nieuwe items bewonderen. De eerste is een replica van een goudbaar uit Fort Knox. Deze verschijnt later dit jaar ter ere van de 60e verjaardag van de derde James Bond film Goldfinger. Dit is een replica op schaal 1:1. De Goldfinger goudstaaf wordt geleverd in een zwarte verpakking met aan de binnenkant een afbeelding van Sean Connery en de Aston Martin DB5 in Zwitserland. Het is verder niet bekend in beperkte oplage het item zal verschijnen en wat de prijs zal zijn.
Twee andere James Bond-objecten die in de vitrine te zien waren, zijn uit de serie Scaled Prop Replicas. In deze categorie verschijnen replica’s in een kleinere schaal, en daarom tegen een veel lagere prijs. Eerder verschenen het gouden pistool uit The Man With The Golden Gun en de Bird One uit You Only Live Twice in deze categorie. Later dit jaar komen er dus nog twee items bij: James Bond’s aktetas uit From Russia With Love en de Jetpack uit Thunderball. En net als bij de goudbaard is het nog niet bekend wanneer deze replica’s van Factory Entertainment zullen verschijnen, in welke oplage en wat de prijs zal zijn.

Besides the items that appeared last year, Oddjob’s hat and a replica of the Solex Agitator, we could admire three new items appearing later this year. The first is a replica of a Fort Knox gold bullion bar. This will appear later this year to mark the 60th anniversary of the third James Bond film Goldfinger. This is a 1:1 scale replica. The Goldfinger gold bar comes in black packaging with an image of Sean Connery and the Aston Martin DB5 in Switzerland on the inside. It is further not known in what limited quantity the item will appear and what the price will be.
Two other James Bond objects on display in the showcase were from the Scaled Prop Replicas series. In this category, replicas appear in a smaller scale, and therefore at a much lower price. Previously, the golden pistol from The Man With The Golden Gun and the Bird One from You Only Live Twice appeared in this category. So two more items will be added later this year: James Bond’s briefcase as seen in From Russia With Love and the Jetpack from Thunderball. And as with the goldbeard, it is not yet known when these items will be released, in what edition and what the price will be.
