Under Dewhurst’s guidance, 007GB grew into the largest Bond fan club in the world, boasting thousands of paying members and an impressive charitable total of more than £65,000 raised for UNICEF. In his personal farewell statement, Dewhurst reflected proudly on his tenure. “For three consecutive years, 007GB has been the world’s largest Bond fan club under my leadership – a testament to the variety of fantastic activities we’ve offered,” he said. “We’ve raised the bar for charity within the Bond community higher than ever before. 007GB has permanently changed the landscape of the fan world.”
