Eind juni 2023 vind in Los Angeles de Propstore Entertainment Memorabilia veiling plaats. En ook tijdens deze veiling, verdeeld over drie dagen, zijn er een aantal James Bond items te vinden. Word jij wellicht de nieuwe eigenaar?
Op de eerste en tweede dag zijn de James Bond kavels te vinden. Twee kavel zijn voorzien van voertuigen: de Glastron Carlson speedboat uit Moonraker en een Parahawk uit The World Is Not Enough.
Glastron Carlson CV23HT
Vier Glastron Carlson CV23HT speedboten werden door EON Productions aangekocht voor de productie van de achtervolging en aangepast met een speciale zilverkleurige gelcoat over grijze verf die werd aangebracht tijdens het gietproces van de glasvezel. Dit is waarschijnlijk een van de slechts twee overgebleven exemplaren uit de productie. Deze boot werd verkocht op een bootshow in 1979 en sindsdien in een privécollectie. De aangepaste bovenkap die in de film te zien is ontbreekt. Het blijft onbekend of er ooit een op deze boot is aangebracht en of hij dus daadwerkelijk is de film te zien is.
The Propstore Entertainment Memorabilia Auction will take place in Los Angeles at the end of June. And a number of James Bond items can also be found during these three auction days. Might you become the new owner?
The auction will be held over three days. The first and second days feature James Bond lots. Two lots feature vehicles: the Glastron Carlson speedboat from Moonraker and a Parahawk from The World Is Not Enough.
Glastron Carlson CV23HT
Four Glastron Carlson CV23HT speedboats were purchased by EON Productions for chase production and modified with a special silver gelcoat over grey paint applied during the fibreglass moulding process. This is probably one of only two surviving examples from production. This boat was sold at a boat show in 1979 and has been in a private collection ever since. The custom top cover seen in the film is missing. It remains unknown whether one was ever fitted on this boat and thus whether it is actually is the film.
Naast het kenmerkende kleurenschema heeft deze speedboot het identificatienummer “GCV 10542C”, een zonnescherm boven de cabine, een Glastron Carlson-plakaat en een MerCruiser 260 HP buitenboord motor. De kavel is voorzien van een Letter of Authenticity van Doug Redenius, mede-oprichter van de Ian Fleming Foundation. De verwachte opbrengst is tussen de $ 30.000 en $ 60.000.
Landparahawk
Deze landparahawk is een van de slechts drie die tijdens de productie zijn gemaakt voor de achtervolgingsscène. Na de productie werd deze gekocht door de Ian Fleming Foundation, die op dit moment nog eigenaar is van het unieke voertuig. Het voertuig is gemaakt van een functionele Ski-Doo sneeuwscooter en is aangepast met een zwarte glasvezel buitenkant, bijpassende bekleding, een doorzichtig acryl vizier, een propeller met twee bladen, een metalen roterende riem en vier gelede metalen ski’s. Het heeft een 2si 460 F45 vliegtuigmotor.
Besides the distinctive colour scheme, this speedboat has the identification number “GCV 10542C”, a sunshade above the cabin, a Glastron Carlson plaque and a MerCruiser 260 HP outboard engine. The lot comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Doug Redenius, co-founder of the Ian Fleming Foundation. Expected proceeds are between $30,000 and $60,000.
Landparahawk
This land parahawk is one of only three made during production for the chase scene. After production, it was bought by the Ian Fleming Foundation, which currently still owns the unique vehicle. Made from a functional Ski-Doo snowmobile, the vehicle has been modified with a black fibreglass exterior, matching upholstery, a clear acrylic visor, a two-blade propeller, a metal rotating belt and four articulated metal skis. It has a 2si 460 F45 aircraft engine.

en remgrepen. De parahawk is gemonteerd op houten onderstellen voor transport en heeft sinds het einde van de productie niet meer gefunctioneerd. De verf van het voertuig is afgebrokkeld langs de linkerkant en het bedieningspaneel en de ski’s hebben roest. Na de productie werd de vloeistoffen afgetapt, waardoor de parahaak momenteel niet functioneert. De verwachte opbrengst is tussen de $ 40.000 en $ 80.000.
Overige kavels dag 1
Op de eerste veilingdag zijn er, naast de voertuigen, nog 11 kavel uit de James Bond-films. Uniek is kavel 239: een houten model van het gouden pistool uit The Man With The Golden Gun. Het model is een mockup die gebruikt werd voor het maken van het echte wapen. Het houten wapen werd gemaakt door Colibri. Kavels 243 en 244 zijn minder interessant. Beide zijn een casino plakkaat uit de film Casino Royale (2006) welke ook regulier te vinden zijn op veilingsites zoals eBay. Kavel 248 is de harddisk die Patrice bij zich droeg in Skyfall en kavel 250 is een van de originele Spectre-ringen die tijdens de opnames zijn gebruikt.
Interior of the parahawk features a dashboard with controls for the propeller and power, metal footrests and brake handles. The parahawk is mounted on wooden undercarriages for transport and has not functioned since the end of production. The vehicle’s paint has crumbled along the left side and the control panel and skis have rust. After production, the fluids were drained, so the para hook is currently non-functional. The expected yield is between $40,000 and $80,000.
Other lots day 1
On the first auction day, in addition to the vehicles, there are 11 lots from the James Bond films. Unique is lot 239: a wooden model of the golden pistol from The Man With The Golden Gun. The model is a mockup used to make the real gun. The wooden gun was made by Colibri. Lots 243 and 244 are less interesting. Both are a casino plaque from the film Casino Royale (2006) which can also be found regularly on auction sites like eBay. Lot 248 is the hard disk Patrice carried with him in Skyfall and lot 250 is one of the original Spectre rings used during filming.
Kavels dag 2
Ook op de tweede dag zijn er een 9-tal James Bond kavels te vinden: nummer 926 t/m 934. Er zijn hierbij een tweetal bijzondere items te vinden: een SD Studios Golden Gun en een replica van het Farberge ei uit Octopussy. Andere items die leuk zijn op deze dag is een kaartspel uit GoldenEye en een klapperbord uit The World Is Not Enough.
Lots day 2
Also on the second day, there are 9 James Bond lots to be found: numbers 926 to 934. Two special items can be found here: an SD Studios Golden Gun and a replica of the Farberge egg from Octopussy. Other items that are nice on this day are a deck of cards from GoldenEye and a clapperboard from The World Is Not Enough.
